GOVERNMENT is discussing with trade unions over the wage freeze. During the vice president’s question and answer session, Vice President Guy Scott told parliament that a dispute had been declared on the issue of the wage freeze with the workers unions.

He said negotiations were however on-going between the union and the Government to finalise the issue of the wage freeze.

The situation with regard to the wage freeze was a tricky one for the Government but negotiations had continued between the Government and the unions.

The House also heard that Choma central MP Cornelius Mweetwa would next week raise a private member’s motion against the wage freeze.

  1. The said industrial dispute was declaired last year & there is no perceived negociations this time around as civil servants are not interested in PF lies anymore! Only gullible top civil servant officials are busy looting via unsustainable stage managed workshops & allowances- will probably continiue intertaining these lies from PF! Its evil & diabolic to deny civil servants a living wage when a simple DC or Minister gets about k9000.00 housing allowance only-now talk of the salary, fuel, talktime, maids, two vehicles, free water, free electricity, free medical fees, free education,…& many others. Then you say wage freeze ili -che to a civil servant who just get around k3500.00!This is a big joke of the 21st centuary! This time around ni-forward chabbe! Enough is Enough! Its like…

  2. PF government flip-flop policy is hard to be believed. They are in opposition while in power without any direction for the nation.
